The grand opening of the 17th International Forum RAO/CIS OFFSHORE 2025 took place

The event, a key platform for discussing the development of Arctic oil and gas resources, started simultaneously at two venues: the plenary session was held at the Mariinsky Palace, and the exhibition, Youth Session and business program unfolded at the Expoforum Exhibition Center.

The White Hall of the Mariinsky Palace hosted the distinguished guests of the plenary session, including:
Mikhail Kovalchuk, President of the Kurchatov Institute Research Center;
Beglov Alexander, Governor of St. Petersburg;
Belsky Alexander, Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg;
Karen Hallberg, General Secretary of the Pugwash Movement of Scientists;
Falkov Valery, Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation;
Sergey Vakhrukov, Head of the Office of the President of the Russian Federation for National Maritime Policy;
Andrey Chibis, Governor of the Murmansk Region, Chairman of the Commission of the State Council of the Russian Federation on the Northern Sea Route and the Arctic;
Konstantin Pashkov, Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation;
Chernyshev Sergey, Vice-President of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences;
Oleg Aksyutin, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board, Head of Department 623 of Gazprom PJSC;
Litvinenko Vladimir, Rector of the St. Petersburg Mining University of Empress Catherine II;
Taras Lipnitsky, Deputy General Director for the Development of Marine Instrumentation at JSC USC.

Over 800 experts representing more than 180 companies and research institutes from Russia, Kazakhstan and China joined forces to find effective solutions in the field of offshore hydrocarbon production in the Arctic region.

RAO/CIS Offshore 2025 is held as part of the St. Petersburg International Gas Forum and is dedicated to the memory of outstanding scientist Evgeny VELIKHOV.

Expoforum Exhibition Center hosts a large-scale exhibition featuring equipment and technologies for the exploration, construction and operation of offshore oil and gas fields, solutions for underwater operations, and developments in the field of marine medicine.

The forum will be open for visitors until October 10.
