Spiritual unity and cultural heritage: the autumn fair "Orthodox Russia" has started
2025-10-30 21:42
Traditionally, RESTEC organizes an autumn exhibition-fair for the celebrations of November 4th: the Feast of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God and National Unity Day.
The spiritual center of the exhibition is the icon of St. Martiriy of Zelenets from the Holy Trinity Zelenetsky Monastery of the Tikhvin Diocese and the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God.
The grand opening began with a prayer service for the beginning of a good work and the blessing of the exhibition, conducted by Priest Maxim Viktorovich Dubovoy (a clergyman of the Tikhvin Diocese) with a choir.
The cultural and educational program started with a screening of the film "Spiritual Journey. Shrines of the Neva Land" by the Orthodox Studio of St. Petersburg, directed by Ekaterina Orlova. The first day will also offer visitors the opportunity to participate in interesting meetings and discussions on important topics, poetry readings, and concerts.
Simultaneously with the events, the exposition began its work, uniting about 100 Russian and international participants — monasteries, churches, publishing houses, icon-painting and jewelry workshops, pilgrimage services, craft and farm enterprises.
Several exciting days lie ahead, filled with spiritually enriching conversations, profound lectures on current topics, vibrant concerts, book presentations, film screenings, and other beneficial events.
Visiting the exhibition not only provides an opportunity to delve deeper into Orthodox culture but also serves as a place for live communication among believers, representatives of the church, education, culture, and social entrepreneurship.
Admission to the exhibition and all program events is free.
Dates: October 30 - November 5
Opening hours: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM (on the last day until 4:00 PM)
