Orthodox Russia: the winter fair has ended

2026-02-09 10:00
This winter, the Orthodox Russia exhibition and Fair hosted representatives of many Russian and foreign organizations in St. Petersburg, whose activities are related to the Russian Orthodox Church. Without leaving the city, visitors were able to submit requests to distant monasteries, purchase products from monastic farms, and learn more about the history and modern life of the monasteries.

According to tradition, the exhibition was accompanied by a prayer of thanks to the Shrine — the spiritual center of the event — the icon of St. Blessed Xenia of St. Petersburg from the Church of St. Basil the Great in Aspen Grove.

Residents of St. Petersburg and guests of the city took refuge from the February frosts in the cozy exhibition space, filled with the aromas of incense, honey and candles. The rich program allowed everyone to find something that would resonate deep inside: to ask for heavenly intercession from the brought Shrines, to receive spiritual support or to participate in lively and meaningful conversations.

The exhibition combines the most diverse aspects of church and cultural life. Books, icons, products of amazing beauty and other products created with attention and love were presented at the stands.

An important part of the exhibition was the cultural and educational program, prepared jointly with the Orthodox Studio of St. Petersburg and the Philharmonic of Souls Creative Association. Creative meetings, film screenings and concerts were held daily within its framework, filling the souls of the audience with warmth and joy.

A photo exhibition "How I want cleanliness..." dedicated to the blessed memory of Priest Anatoly Pershin was also opened in the open conference hall.

We would like to thank all the participants and guests of the exhibition and look forward to seeing you at the Orthodox Russia Spring Exhibition and Fair, which will be held in April 2026 on Vasilievsky Island, at the Kirov Recreation Center.
