On January 29 and 30, part of the RESTEC Exhibition Association team took part in a two-day performance improvement training "Team. Numbers. Profit" from Oleg Valeryevich Sgonikov, coach of the Kapital Business School.

We share the key insights of project managers:

1. Management psychology has come to the fore
The participants got a deeper understanding of how to work with limiting beliefs, the internal dynamics of the team, and the psychology of interacting with project participants.

2. The role of the leader has become clearer and broader
It became clearer what processes take place within the team and why, as well as which management tasks previously remained "in the shadows" due to the high workload.

3. A new perspective on leadership and atmosphere
Managers got acquainted with a new perspective on their work through the metaphor of a leader as an environment creator. Management is about the formation of a "bubbling river", where the team, projects, and the leader himself develop.

4. More structure and less chaos
Participants received practical tools that help them structure their work, consciously delegate tasks, focus on process details, and reduce overload.

5. There is an impulse to change
Many people have thought about changing the way they work with the team and launching internal training formats to update their colleagues' knowledge.

Some of the management tasks turned out to be new, some were performed intuitively, and some were already at a high professional level. An important result was the understanding that management is a separate competence that can and should be developed systematically.

Thanks to Oleg Valeryevich for his professional work with the team and the knowledge that will surely find application in RESTEC's work.
