RESTEC at the Communications forum and General meeting of the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs

Representatives of RESTEC took part in the Communications Forum of the Congress and Exhibition Industry and the General Meeting of the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs (RUEF), held on 18–20 June in St. Petersburg. Over three days, participants discussed interregional cooperation, business development, HR policy, and current challenges facing the congress and exhibition industry.

On the pre‑day, a closed‑door strategy session titled “Developing the Strategy and Work Plan of the RUEF for 2026–2029” was held, with the participation of RESTEC’s CEO. Key industry figures discussed possible scenarios for the Union’s development and priorities in light of current economic conditions. The format was focused on substantive work on the future strategy and the exchange of professional assessments among market players.

The highlight of the forum was the General Meeting of the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs. Following the vote, Nikolay Kozlov, CEO of Expoforum‑International, was elected President of the RUEF. Dmitry Nikitin, CEO of RESTEC, was elected a member of the RUEF Presidium.

During the roundtable “Team as an Asset: How to Attract, Retain, and Develop Employees,” Dmitry Nikitin presented RESTEC’s approaches to team management. The presentation focused on principles that have been shaped at the company over decades: continuity of experience, respect for each employee’s individuality, opportunities for professional growth, and unified interaction rules that bring together specialists from different generations and fields.

We thank the organisers for the high standard of the event. Such meetings are valuable not only for the opportunity to exchange experiences, but also as a chance to look at familiar issues from a new angle, align approaches, and discuss the topics that currently concern the entire industry.
