The RESTEC team at the XIII MICE Networking Forum in St. Petersburg

On January 21, the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted the opening of the XIII MICE Networking Forum, as well as the 68th General Meeting of Members of the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs (RUEF).
Within the framework of the forum, representatives of the RESTEC team participated in three sessions on key challenges and prospects for the development of the convention and exhibition industry in 2026. The participants' special attention was drawn to the forecast of the industry's development and scenarios for its future, presented by the invited expert of the program, Sergey Pereslegin, a futurist, publicist and director of the Knowledge Management Center of the International Research Institute of Management Problems.
Dmitry Nikitin, CEO of RESTEC, also participated in the General Meeting of the RUEF. The White Hall of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry brought together more than 60 member companies of the union to summarize the work for 2025 and discuss strategic plans for the upcoming season.
The Meeting's agenda included issues of membership in the RUEF, amendments to the charter and internal regulations, the presidium's report on the activities of the union's directorate in 2025, the RUEF's work plan for 2026, as well as a discussion of the budget and key trends in the development of the convention and exhibition industry.
Following the results of the general meeting, Sergey Alekseev was elected interim chairman of the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs. During the event, RUEF congratulated RESTEC on its 35th anniversary, noting the company's contribution to the development of the industry.
