Transport of the past adorns the center of St. Petersburg

A retro exhibition and the XI International Parade of Retro Vehicles have kicked off in the center of St. Petersburg as part of the VII International Transport Festival "TransportFest". Historic vehicles took to the city streets, turning the heart of the Northern Capital into a living open-air museum.

This year, the parade and exhibition feature 323 units of retro equipment — exactly the number of years old St. Petersburg is. In the morning, buses, trolleybuses, trams, trucks, passenger cars, motorcycles, and special vehicles from private collections, museums, and transport enterprises across Russia and abroad drove through the city streets.

After the parade, the vehicles were displayed on Engineers' Street, Karavannaya Street, Klenovaya Street, Castle Street, Belinsky Square, and the Fontanka River Embankment. The exhibition will continue until the evening, drawing the attention of thousands of city residents and visitors to St. Petersburg, who are eagerly examining every detail of the rare machines and taking commemorative photos next to these legends of the past.

A special atmosphere at the retro exhibition is traditionally created by festival guests who come dressed in vintage outfits. Year after year, visitors embrace the spirit of the era, complementing the display with stylish retro attire and turning the festival grounds into a true journey through time.

Once again, TransportFest has brought together history, city traditions, and a love of transport, giving St. Petersburg one of the brightest and most atmospheric days of the festival.
